Japan Nihon University Showed Appreciation For NTNU

Professor Yugun Riku from Japan Nihon University led 29 students from Nihon University to Taiwan and held the appreciation dinner in the last day of the visit. In the two and the half hours dinner, Professor Yugun Riku and students showed their appreciation to professor Wu Wen-hsing from NTNU department of history. They were very satisfied with the courses the department of history arranged and they hoped to come back next year.
Nihon University signed the sister school contract with NTNU in 2002. The school was located in Tokyo city and had 123 years history. It was the largest comprehensive university in Japan. Recently, the school was promoting the program for students to learn overseas. Last February, they led students to take the class in NTNU department of history for a week and the result was outstanding. Therefore, Professor Yugun Riku led 29 students to study in NTNU again this year.
Besides the courses in class, Professor Wu Wen-hsing brought students to go over the history spots in Taiwan. Not only Professor Wu attended the appreciation dinner, the dean of college of literature Chen Kuo-chuan, director of department of history Chen Deng-wu, professor Chen Chia-hung from Graduate Institute of Taiwan History, and vice director of Office of International Affairs Liang Yi-ping were all invited.
