2012 Model United Nations StarMUN in NTNU

NTNU model United Nations club held the 2012 StarMUN from May 4th to 6th, invited university students in Taiwan to participate. The activity holder, a senior in model United Nations club Li Hsueh-chien indicated that he was appreciated that the first activity he held won the great feedback, he believed the following activity would be better and better!

On May 4th, students from National Taiwan Normal University, National Taiwan University, Soochow University, and Wenzao University College of Languages gathered at NTNU to participate in the “2012 starMUN”. In the 3 days activity, 60 students from different schools respectively served as the diplomats from 40 more countries to discussed the international issues including economy, human rights, and politics. The meeting was held in English. The participated students not only had to understand the international situation, but also had to enhance the English communication ability and international etiquettes.
After the social event at the first night, students got to know each other. The meeting including different committees, the Special Political and Decolonization Committee, United Nations Human Rights Council, and United Nations Conference on Trade and Development. The model United Nations club had selected the related issues to discuss. The leader of the club Li Hsueh-chien appreciated the hardworking club member and expected the activity would be better in the future.
