International Association of Empirical Aesthetics August 22nd to 25th in NTNU

 The 22nd Biennial Congress of The International Association of Empirical Aesthetics (IAEA) AESTHETICS @ MEDIA, ARTS & CULTURE organized by NTNU Department of Fine Arts would be held from August 22nd to 25th at NTNU. It would be the first time ever held in Taiwan in the past 47 years. 

IAEA was an international academic organization. The scholars were mostly from the fields of psychology, cognitive science, museum, art, and education. They published academic periodical. The association was founded in 1965 with 47 years history. It held the academic seminar in different countries every two years. It would be the 22nd seminar and would be held by NTNU Department of Fine Arts. The seminar would be sponsored by National Science Council, Ministry of Culture, National Taiwan Arts Education Center, and Bureau of Foreign Trade.
Besides the lecture given by the Fechner prize receiver, there would be three other lectures in the four days seminar. Thesis publication, art exhibition, and the discussion focused on different aesthetics topics. The participated scholars were from Europe, United States, Russia, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, South Africa, Japan, Korea, and China. Through the issue discussion and sharing in the seminar, it would definitely help build up the art development in Taiwan.
