The 2nd Art Education Annual Congress Raised Art Education Competitiveness

 In order to promote the art education in elementary and junior high school, the 2nd Art Education Annual Congress took place on August 27th at NTNU College of Continuing and Extension. Experts and scholars in art education field gathered together to publish several theses, expected to raise the competitiveness and creativity in art education.

The participated guests included art teachers from elementary and junior high schools and art education administrative staff from government. The targets of the congress were the issues of practical and theoretic teaching in art education in elementary and junior high school and accumulated the foundation for art education industry. Professor Michael Parsons from United States University of Illinois was invited to give the lecture in the congress.
NTNU Principal Chang Kuo En indicated that the art education annual congress had great contribution to Taiwan art education. In the 21st century, it was an important issue to raise the competitiveness in art education. Principal Li Chao Hsiu from National University of Tainan indicated that art education involved the wild range of image. It could be concrete or abstract. We hoped to find the target for our art education through the discussion in the annual congress.
