East Asia Confucian Study Forum For The 21st Century Confucian Wisdom

 The opening ceremony of the “2012 East Asia Youth Confucian Study Forum Camp- Classic and Education” took place on August 23rd morning at NTNU. Overseas students from China, Singapore, and Malaysia participated in the camp.

The camp was organized by NTNU College of International Studies and Education for Overseas Chinese, National Taiwan University Institute for Advanced Studies in Humanities and Social Sciences, and East Humanity Academic Research Foundation. The camp would be held at NTNU, National Cheng Kung University, and Chia Nan University of Pharmacy & Science from August 23rd to August 27th. Followed the spirit and experience last year, the camp provided courses of classical Confucian study and would pay the visit to Confucian temple and classical academy. 
The dean of National Taiwan University Institute for Advanced Studies in Humanities and Social Sciences Huang Chun Chieh approved NTNU dean Pan Chao Yang for he promoted and raised the emphasis on traditional Confucian idea. He indicated that Taiwan had reserved most tradition of Confucian thought because of the history we went through. Dean Huang expected to enhance and glorify this culture through our young generation.
