Traditional Music Festival- Shining Shaanxi in Taiwan Concert
“Shining Shaanxi in Taiwan” concert was held at NTNU hall on September 11th. The dean of China Shaanxi Normal University College of Music Tian Da Cheng led students to present the splendid performances. They performed more than 25 songs at the concert. Cooperated with “The Son of the Sun” dancing group, gave audiences both visual and hearing festival.
The concert opened up with the traditional Chinese song “Colorful Cloud Chasing Moon”. The performers wore the red traditional Chinese costume. Besides the cheerful orchestral music, there was strong Mongolia music as well.
The dancing group “The Son of the Sun” brought the traditional Amis dance. Through the physical interaction, showed the delightfulness of harvest.
The dean Tian Da Cheng performed the opera “Carmen” with the classical tenor and ensemble through dramatic performance.
NTNU had signed the sister school contract with Shaanxi Normal University in 2009. Both schools participated in the “China Taiwan Hong Kong Macao Normal University Forum” this March. NTNU Department of Music Professor Yeh Hsu Han led the orchestra to perform in Shaanxi this September. 30 students and teachers from Shaanxi called on this time, expected to cooperate more in the future.
