Department of Applied Chinese Language and Literature Made a Breakthrough on Overseas Mandarin Teaching

 NTNU Mandarin Teaching made a breakthrough. NTNU Department of Applied Chinese Language and Literature promoted the overseas internship plans. Students could interne in Europe, America, and South East Asia for 5 or 6 weeks in summer. This summer, some students went to Brunei. They were the first group of intern teachers ever to Brunei. Department of Applied Chinese Language and Literature specially held the academic presentation on October 25th to share the happiness of teaching in Brunei.

Recently, learning Mandarin became a trend in the world. Department of Applied Chinese Language and Literature encouraged students to intern in different countries in the long-term vacation. At the 5th year anniversary time of the department foundation, students had stepped on to 3 continents and 7 countries. More than 30 students walked out to the world each year. 
Overseas Chinese Affairs Council specially got NTNU in touch with the schools in Brunei this time. The director of OCAC overseas education department Chuang Chiung Chih, section manager of school education section Chen Hsu Fang, Principal of Brunei Chinese Middle School Hsu Yueh Lan, and the dean of Philippines Grace Christian College Chen Hung Tao attended the sharing presentation. Director Chuang Chiung Chih indicated that it was a pleasant to see such great result from NTNU students. She hoped to cooperate with NTNU more in the future for teacher training education and teaching materials, to present the better and more exquisite service of overseas education.
