Cheng Pei Yi Takes Home 4 Prizes at IPA Awards

Cheng Pei Yi is a graduate student at Art Education and Art Administration of NTNU. This is her first attempt for International Photography Awards and she has received four Honorable Mention awards.

Started in 2003, the International Photography Awards conducts an annual photography competition for professional, non-professional, and student photographers on a global level, creating one of the most ambitious and comprehensive competitions in the photography world today. The IPA recognizes photography’s leading talents who are creating, shaping and defining the world of photography today. Tens of thousands of entries are submitted every year for awards in 12 different categories.

Cheng said that the awards mean a lot to her because she is new to art. Photography is an instrument for her to find herself and to know who she is. Her award winning works are Waiting, Remembrance, Missing, Shadow Line. She often thinks about what can she contribute to the world? Attending international competition is a good way to start, so she'll continue taking pictures, joining competitions and let the world knows the beauty of Taiwan.
