2009 Hoping Download Lit Up Eco-Friendly Christmas Tree
NTNU organized the 2009 Hoping Download that would send 100 students from Taiwan, China, Hong Kong and Macau to senior high schools in remote areas during the coming winter break. The press conference was held on December 24th. Under the witness of honourable guests from NTNU, the government, Hong Kong and China, a Christmas tree made of recycled plastic bottles were lit to pray for blessings for students in those areas. This project wished to exercise the spirit of Confucius who had travelled to spread his teachings in different countries, and recruit students to do educational services in different parts of Taiwan.
