NTNU, NCCU and NTUST work with Nanyang Technological University for Creativity Program

National Chengchi University, National Taiwan Normal University and National Taiwan University of Science and Technology work with Nanyang Technological University for creativity program "Three For One Course". The opening ceremony of "Three For One Course", which is the first cooperation between the three universities, was hosted by Vice President's representatively. This is the first creativity program by universities in Taiwan and it last five years.

2018 International Conference on Solutions to Global Democracy Crisis

2018 International Conference on Solutions to Global Democracy Crisis was held by the Department of East Asian Studies and Canadian Trade Office in Taipei on July 7th. Prof. Erik Kuhonta from McGill University, Prof. Hans Hanpu Tung from NTU, Prof. Roberto Foa from the University of Melbourne and researcher Tao Wang from the University of Manchester have discussed the topics of democracy from different aspects. Vice President Sung Yao Ting, Deputy Director Mr. Michael McCulloch of the Canadian Trade Office gave some welcome remarks. Director Chiang Bo Wei from the Department of East Asian Studies the hosted the closing part.

NTNU Won 3 Gold 4 Silver 2 Bronze at Computer Olympiad

Prof. Lin Shun-Shii from the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering led his team for the 21st Computer Olympiad on July 7th to July 13rd. They defeated 100 contestants from 8 countries, winning 3 gold, 4 silver and 2 bronze medals.

NTNU work with National Archaeological Museum, Naples for Ancient Polychrome

The National Archaeological Museum, Naples (MANN) started a technological art project "Mann in colors" with Prof. Hsu Ho Chieh of the Department Of Design in March 2018. The research team studies ancient Greek and Roman sculptures, using multi-spectral (ultraviolet, infrared spectrometer, infrared false-color image) and chemical investigation (Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy) and other scientific identification methods to find out various color of ancient sculptures and establish the first database of ancient sculpture color.

AIT and NTNU Team up to Bridge the Achievement Gap

Members of AIT and National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) held a press conference today to commend the great progress made by a group of Hualien students learning English. This project, led by Fulbright alumni at National Taiwan Normal University, was one of 68 projects selected out of 1,014 project submissions from around the world and the only one from Taiwan. About 20 junior high school students who barely knew the English alphabets had made a tremendous progress and could order in English, sing English songs and become more confident using them.
