DPPOCS Held Ancestor Worshipping Ceremony for New Year

The Division of Preparatory Programs for Overseas Chinese Students has the largest overseas student in Taiwan. To welcome the upcoming lunar New Year, a luncheon was held on January 6th at the student restaurant of Linkou campus. Every year, the DPPOCS will held a ceremony worshipping ancestors in accordance with formal rituals. President Chang is the officiate. Guests from the Ministry of Education and other officials came and joined the worshipping ceremony. By this event, students can chat with their friends and greeted each other.

Christmas Party at MTC

Upon the arrival of Christmas, MTC has prepared a set of celebration events for foreign students that come to Taiwan to study. In the morning of December 23rd, small gifts were available and the most expected Christmas singing contest was held. Students, faculties and teachers all enjoyed a happy evening.

Taiwan Tops the 2016 International Junior Science Olympiad

The Taiwan team, trained by professors of NTNU, had a good showing at the 13th International Junior Science Olympiad. Six delegates from Taiwan won 5 gold and 1 silver medals and boosts the best performance of all countries. Lai Chun Mao from Tainan Jiansing Junior High School grabbed two individual prizes — best theoretician and best overall student — for his outstanding performance in the competition.

MTC Students Won the Speech Competition for Foreign Student

Students from MTC (NTNU) participated in the "2016 Chinese Speaking Contest for Foreign Students" and grabbed the first prize, second prize and honor award.

2016 International Culture Day by the Division of Preparatory Programs

This year's International Culture Day, the most expected day of students and alumni of The Division of Preparatory Programs, was held on October 29th. The purpose of this event is to promote multicultural exchange. With the help of the Exotic Gourmet Garden Tour and performances, international students in NTNU can fully demonstrated their talent and that allow more teachers, students and community people to experience different cultures.
