2009 National Intercollegiate Athletic Games (NIAG) opened boisterously on May 2nd at NTNU Kungkuan campus. To exhibit its excellence in both sports and arts, NTNU, the hosting university this year, presented performances that were brilliant and unique.

Linkou Campus Sports Day

Unlike the competitive NTNU Sports Day, the Linkou Campus Sports Day, occurred on the 27th of April, was more about creativity and fun. The opening match is on creative performances, where students hair-pullingly came up with innovative performances that exhibit cultures of different countries.

2009 NIAG Lighting Ceremony at Taipei Confucius Temple

On April 30th, NTNU Principle Kou Yih-Shun led the team to attend lighting ceremony at Taipei Confucius Temple. Following the traditional memorial ceremony for Confucius, Principle Kou prayed for a successful game.

Principle Delivered Flags for Impending NIAG 2009

National Intercollegiate Athletic Games 2009 (NIAG) will begin on May second in NTNU. Principle Gou Yih-Shun delivered flags to representative teams, and encouraged them not to forget NTNU’s spirit of honesty and diligence besides fighting in competitions.

NTNU Swim Team Pledged to Win NIAG

2009 NIAG (National intercollegiate Athletic Game) was impending. NTNU swim team were in a good shape, confident in continuing the history of winning the most gold medals. Some of NTNU’s good swimmers graduated and entered into post-graduate programme, making training more difficult than before, said the Coach Zhang Chuan-Ling.
