NTNU Welcomes Yushan Young Scholar Ulrich Menne

Prof. Ulrich Menne from the University of Leipzig has been selected as one of the Yushan Young Scholars. Prof. Menne has been joining the Department of Mathematics since the 1st semester of the academic year of 2018 as the first foreign professor in the department. The department held a welcoming party for him on October 16th.

UNESCO Chair Visited NTNU for Quality Indigenous Education

Charles Hopkins, who holds the UNESCO Chair in Reorienting Education towards Sustainability at York University in Toronto, Canada, and Prof. Irina Safitri Zen at Sustainability, Faculty of Built Environment, University Teknologi Malaysia visited NTNU on October 9th. Vice President Sung Yao Ting and Vice Dean Liaw Shyue Cherng welcomed them personally and a forum about aboriginal education and sustainable development was held.

Chair Prof. Liao Ping Hui Talked about Internationalization

Prof. Liao Ping Hui is a Professor of Literary and Critical Studies and Chuan Lyu Endowed Chair in Taiwan Studies, UC San Diego. He is also a chair professor at the Department of Chinese as a Second Language. Recently, he came back to Taiwan and visited President Wu Cheng Chih, Vice President Sung Yao Ting, Ying Yung Hsiang with the accompany of Prof. Chien Ying Ying. They talked about international issues and exchange opportunities. President Wu Cheng Chih presented the letter of appointment for the next academic year to Prof. Liao.

EMBA Students Visits the Silk Road

The goal of EMBA, NTNU is to educate an outstanding high-level manager. In addition to accumulated management skills, one should learn the knowledge of managment and to see changes globally. Dean Chou De Wai and Director Wang Shih Ju went to The Belt and Road Initiative at Lanzhou and Dunhuang from September 12 to 19.
