NTNU Got 118 Medals in National Intercollegiate Athletic Games

The National Intercollegiate Athletic Games hosted by National Taitung University ended on May 4th. NTNU boosts 40 gold medals, 40 silver medals and 38 copper medals, accomplishing the goal of 40 golden medals. The Universiade Taipei 2017 will be held next year and National Taitung University hand over the authority to National Taiwan University.

Taiwan Tug of War Women’s team Wins 4 gold 2 Silver

The Chinese Taipei Tug of War Women’s team grabs 4 gold and 2 silver at this year’s Tug of War International Federation’s World Indoor Championships in Volendam, Netherland. The women then teamed up with male athletes from Greater Taichung’s Chiao Tai High School and Asia University to compete in the 600kg mixed division, and confronted Basque Team and China, winning three matches in a row.

NTNU players at the 2015 Pro Basketball All-Star Classic Game

The 2015 Pro Basketball All-Star Classic Game was held at Xinzhuang Gymnasium on Oct. 9th.The NTNU Men's Basketball team players teamed up with SBL (Super Basketball League) players. The Taiwan team is composed of five SBL current and former players, and players from NTNU, NTUA. Taiwanese players and fans are crazy about seeing former NBA players play. Chinese Taipei Wins European Outdoor Women’s Tug-of-war Gold

Taiwan women's team won gold in international outdoor tug-of-war in the ladies 520 kg open of the 2015 European Tug of War Championship on September 7th. The team is composed of the tug of war team of National Taiwan Normal University and students from Taipei Jingmei Girls Highs School.

NTNU-Jingmei Women’s Tug of War Team Shines at World Championships

The World Indoor Tug of War Championships are held once every two years. This year (2014), the games were held in Ireland, and the Chinese Taipei women’s team was made up of a group of students from the Department of Physical Education at National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) and Taipei Jingmei Girls High School. On February 22nd, the team took second place in the 540 kg world championship division and, on February 23rd, grabbed first place in the 500 kg world championship division. The team won two matches in a row, and, all together in the open club championships, earned three gold and three silver medals. Their accomplishments have brought glory to the people of Taiwan.
