 Global Sports Management Round-table Conference Exchanged Sports Management Future

 

The 2011 Global Sports Management Round-table Conference was held by NTNU department of Physical Education on April 29th. The conference discussed the current and future of sports management.

The conference started with the president of sports management association from Europe, Asia, North America, South America, Africa, and Oceania took turns sharing their opinion and advices of sports management. People nowadays paid more attention on health, and brought up the trend to exercise. Besides talking about the exercise population in each country, and also analyzed the current phenomenon. Asia Sports Management Association President Dr. Nilmanee Sriboon thought that the athlete villages and competition arenas were abandoned after the Olympics was a pity.

The conference talked about different standpoints of sports managements. Dr. Rosa L’opez de D’ Amico indicated that while using politics method to promote the sports, shouldn’t forget the simple nature of sports, “Is this politic? It’s sport!”
