FIBA Under-19 World Championship Report- Li Chia-ching

After 24 years, Chinese Taipei had the chance to play on the world stage again. 12 national players represented Chinese Taipei to Latvia for the 10th FIBA. Four of the freshman players from NTNU who had great performances in the UBA this year were in the team.

“Suppose you want to take this road, then take it to the end. If you ever think of quitting it, then rather not take it.” Because of the quote Li Chia-ching’s brother once told him, he paid more effort on the court. Coming from an athletic family, Li’s parents and brothers were all athletes. They experienced the tough works on the court and taught Chia-ching with the optimistic way, guided him and led him to move forward. “My parents always tell me to think of the future direction and be responsible to myself,” said Chia-ching. From his family, Chia-ching learned that “attitude” was the basic for every athlete.

Li Chia-ching started to play basketball since junior high and made his mind to this road in senior high. Undergoing the continuous three championships once he entered NTNU, he was very happy. As the power forward in the team, he grabbed every chance to perform and learn hard. With his deep enthusiasm in basketball, there must be a great stage for him in the future.
