Gave Up Admission to NTU Chen Yu-jung Received Scholarship
Intel International Science and Engineering Fair prizewinner Chen Yu-jung gave up admission to NTU and chose NTNU department of Computer Science & Information Engineering. Principal Chang Kuo-en awarded 200 thousands scholarship to Chen Yu-jung on September 27th. Chen indicated that it was a great encouragement.
Intel ISEF was referred to Olympics of Science. It was the biggest high school student science competition in the world. Chen studied LED as the subject, researched the best distance to watch digital image, and won the third prize in information science group. Her outstanding matriculation not only won her the high quota scholarship, she would have chance to exchange in Sweden for a year in the future.
Chen won the scholarship as soon as she entered NTNU; she admitted that it was unexpected and she was very surprised. Her instructor professor Li Chung-mou encouraged her to learn more in university; studied hard on the professional subjects and the general lessons as well; and built up good relationship. He expected her outstanding performances in the future.
