CVE Human Rights Film Festival Go Through Discrimination Wall

 Department of Civic Education and Leadership held the series of “Human Rights Film Festival”. On September 29th, the movie “From The Queen To The Chief Executive” was played. Teachers and students who were concerned about the human rights issue gathered in the room. Through the movie appreciation and discussion, learned the human rights from different angles.

The series of film festival was held by CVE, ministry of education human rights education issue counseling group, and Taiwan Alliance to End the Death Penalty. They expected through movies appreciation, get the people to know more about the human rights issue, build up the human rights conscious, and promote the human rights exercises. The topic of the film festival was “Crossing”. Human built up the wall to obstruct misery, and also blocked the chances to know each other’s. Only with crossing the wall, people would have chance to see the light again. They discussed the issue with race, nationality, class, system, gender, and human nature.
Most of the participants were “teachers” and they discussed on the “education” issue. The next movie would be displayed next Thursday; people who were interested were welcome to cross the world together.
