Professor Lu cooperated with Taipei Municipal Hua Jiang Elementary School, studied four lower grade classes. Targeted at the learning disadvantaged students such as single parent family, children of immigrant residents, and aboriginal, to track the performances on learning, and discovered that one fifth of students needed extra teaching. Professor Lu indicated that while applying for the National Science Council plan, he had did the research on the specialty of teachers in HJES, the student’s cognition toward math, and published the single intergraded plan effect.

Professor Lu made the assumptions, did the research, ordered the teaching problems, and sought for the solutions. He hoped the research could give the direction to teachers on how to combine the resources and teach the special students. He would do more research on the following, expected to provide students a great environment to learn.
