Principal Chang Kuo-en Approved Outstanding General Courses Teacher

NTNU Center for General Education practiced the holistic education with the outstanding teacher team. Professor Chao Hui-ling, Chang Zi-chao, and lecturer Wang Hong-hao awarded the 99-year outstanding general courses teacher, received the reward from Principal Chang Kuo-en personally on November 2nd.

Principal Chang indicated with admiration that the awarded teacher’s hard works could not be neglected. He mentioned that NTNU was the comprehensive university and had high achievement in humanity and art. Multiple choices of general courses were our features. The career research showed that the specialized ability didn’t decide the future achievement; the key was the ability cultivated in general courses. He suggested lowering the requirement credits and building up student’s comprehensive ability in the future.

Professor Chao taught the art appreciation, held the final exhibition, and encouraged students to get closer to the art. Professor Chang promoted environment education issue; encouraged students take action to protect our nature. Professor Wang provided student a chance to be a one-day dancer besides teaching the history of dancing in class. Director of center for general education Liu Mei-hui indicated that she appreciated principal Chang’s support and emphasis on general education. She believed NTNU students would discover their own interest with the lead of outstanding teachers.
