Profession Council Career Academic Seminar
100-year “school profession council career academic seminar” was held at NTNU on November 24th. The teachers from each universities, senior, junior high schools, and elementary schools, scholars, and experts gathered together to discussed the current educational system and related issues. Through analyzing and discussion in the seminar, brought out the concrete proposal, made Taiwan career plan education more smoothly.
In the two-day seminar, the guest list included Ling Tsung-ming, Luo Ching-hsui from Ministry of Education, NTNU vice principal Cheng Chi-fu, NTNU Research Center for Psychological and Educational Testing director Sung Yueh-ting, and many other education first line teachers. The discussion included the career plan council, career plan test development, students’ career council, society industry transition, and multi culture concept, expected to come up with a way to promote career plan development through scholars lecture, theory published, and forum.
Differ from the early educational divergence in Germany and Japan and the late educational divergence in United States, Taiwan was mid educational divergence. The career plan council was more important than other countries. The teachers were expected to encourage students to find their interests and suitable schools and departments. The old test mode was under great changing in the recent years. More students invested in the vocational schools. The multi university entrances showed the importance of career plan.
