New Designer Worked for The Renaissance of Pattern Design Award

National Palace Museum and NTNU Cultural & Creative Industries Center cooperated to hold the “2011 National Palace Museum The Renaissance of Pattern Design Award”. After the two months competition, the awarding ceremony and achievement presentation was held at National Palace Museum on December 2nd.

Both students and the working designers participated in the “2011 National Palace Museum The Renaissance of Pattern Design Award”. The participants added the creative elements to the National Palace Museum antique, gave the new life to it. They designed the product combined beauty, originality, and ecology. In order to encourage new designers, unlike the traditional golden, silver medal, the awards were very creative, such as “Yearly Design”, “Best Ecology Material”, “Best Beauty Creation” and 7 other creative awards.

The chief of National Palace Museum cultural creative department Su Wen-hsian indicated that the thousands of antiques rebirth from every designer’s hands. Especially participated with the top creative center NTNU, the activity was meaningful. Director Hsu Ho-jie indicated that there was a lot of Chinese antique became the world treasure. Without re-design, they were hard to be seen by the world. NTNU culture creative education and techniques received more and more approval in the past two years. After this competition, NTNU would keep on with created a space for designers in Taiwan.
