Taiwan Modern Block Print Master Liao Hsio-ping Exhibition
“Block Print Life- Professor Liao Hsio-ping Art Creation Exhibition” opening ceremony was held on December 5th at NTNU library lobby. NTNU Professor Liao Hsio-ping and Wang Hsio-hsiung from Department of Art, NTNU principal and former Principal Chang Kuo-en and liang Shang-yung attended the ceremony.
Principal Chang Kuo-en indicated that besides showing the accomplishments of professor Liao hsio-ping, the exhibition provided next generation a chance to see the history of block print history. Former Principal Laing Shang-yung also attended personally and highly approved the art works. Wang Hsiu-Hsiung was once the dean of graduate institute of art. He approved professor Liao’s distribution to art and education in Taiwan. The dean of college of art Li Chen-ming expected the block print workshop could combine the power of fashion, academy, and creative culture. Popularized our culture to the world.
Professor Liao Hsiu-ping indicated that his mind left in NTNU. He donated his works to NTNU; expected there would be the designated teachers of block print in the future, provided students learning block print a better environment.
