President of Soka Gakkai International Daisaku Ikeda Awarded NTNU Honor Professor

 President of Soka Gakkai International Daisaku Ikeda awarded the honor professor of NTNU College of Fine Arts on June 5th. NTNU spirit of education, culture, and peace was correspondent with President Daisaku Ikeda thought. NTNU hoped to cooperate with Daisaku Ikeda to create a better world.

Daisake Ikeda was currently the president of Soka Gakkai International. He was a writer, poet, and an educationist. He founded several educational, cultural, and peace research institution. He was listed in Watkins Books’ magazine Mind Body Spirit as one of the 100 Most Spiritually Influential Living People in 2012. He received more than 23 nation badges and 325 honor doctors and professors. 
Soka Gakkai International was founded in 1975. Soka Gakkai International had developed as one of the biggest and multicultural Buddhist organization in the world. The members had spread in 192 countries and regions. It promoted culture, education, and peace in society. 
NTNU Principal Chang Kuo En indicated that NTNU had trained almost 100 thousands teachers since 1977. Department of Fine Arts witnessed the art history in Taiwan. International art promotion was always one of Soka Gakkai International’s goal. NTNU had deep relationship with it. NTNU expected to have more cooperation with Soka Gakkai International in the future and create a better art, culture, and peace world.
