Vietnam Huế University Called On NTNU

 Vietnam Huế University called on NTNU on June 8th. Huế University Principal Chen Wen Fu and director of Department of Chinese Liou Yung Yung represented to exchange with NTNU vice Principal Cheng Chi Fu and director of Office of International Affairs Chen Chiu Lan. They expected to build a close education relationship with NTNU.

Huế University was a university located in Huế, the former imperial capital of Vietnam. It was one of the important regional universities of Vietnam. Huế attracted many investments from Taiwan. Therefore, the requirement of Mandarin teachers was more urgent. 
NTNU and Huế University had no exchange record in the past. Principal Chen Wen Fu called on Taiwan for the first time. They hoped to visit the outstanding universities and understand Taiwan higher education development and situation. Director Liou Yung Yung had once studied Mandarin in NTNU. They had called on National Cheng Kung University and National Tsing Hua University already.
Huế University set the first example that the entire school students took the Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language (TOCFL). Mandarin was become more and more important in Vietnam. Huế University hoped to cooperate with NTNU and enhanced the Mandarin teaching quality in Vietnam.
