The Australian National University Called On NTNU For Further Cooperation

 

The principal of The Australian National University Ian Young and his team called on NTNU on August 21st. Vice Principal Lin Tung Tai, vice director of Office of International Affairs Chen Chiu Lan, and professor Yang Tsung Jung from Department of Applied Chinese Language and Literature received our guests. Both sides expected more cooperation in the future. Speaking about NTNU Mandarin Teaching Center, Vice principal Lin Tung Tai indicated that, “They can make foreigners speak Chinese in three weeks!” Expected to attract more Australian students to study Chinese in Taiwan with the outstanding curriculum.
“Ten minutes. We give you ten universities!” indicated director of Office of International Affairs Chen Chiu Lan. The 10 minutes NTNU introduction film allowed you to have all the information of the 10 colleges. NTNU Graduate Institute of Translation and Interpretation was the best in Taiwan. Australian students who were interested in interpretation could take the class from the institute. 
Professor Yang Tsung Jung from Department of Applied Chinese Language and Literature also indicated that NTNU had the best teacher training and Mandarin teaching curriculum. It provided the exchange students with great courses selection. Professor Yang expected students that were going to exchange to NTNU could become the Chinese tutor back in The Australian National University. 
NTNU and The Australian National University became the sister school in 2011 and signed the exchange student contract in 2012. The Australian National University was founded in 1946. It was the best university in Australia and the top university in the world. They had the research center of science technique, Asian studies, humanity and social science, and law. Dr. Benjamin Penny mentioned in the meeting that the superiority of Taiwan learning environment was Taiwan provided home-stay for exchange student.
