NTNU Orchestra Exchanged the Music World with China Shaanxi Normal University
NTNU orchestra went to Shaanxi Normal University for a series of activities from September 4th to September 9th. It was the first intensive interaction between both schools since the sister contract was signed in 2009.
NTNU orchestra was established in 1950. At the beginning, it was only to play the role in school official ceremony and shows. Recent years, the orchestra strived hard to enhance the ability and quality of members and the performances. Besides the annually Taiwan round trip performance, actively cooperated with schools and groups abroad. NTNU orchestra members were students from different department who loved and were good at different instrument. There were also students from outside of NTNU and the graduated alumni participated in the orchestra.
The participation in the performance to Shaanxi was more than expected. The members were very touched by the scene people stood or sit just to enjoy the music. They appreciated Shaanxi Normal University hospitable reception to make the performance and visit smooth and successful.
NTNU orchestra was undergoing a transformation. They didn’t limit their space to develop in the future. They were tended to promote the music culture to the public and forward to international stage. From NTNU to Taiwan, from Taiwan to the world, the only thing that wouldn’t chance was their passion to music.
