NTNU Celebrated the Establishment of Japan Alumni Organization

 NTNU held the establishment conference of NTNU Japan Alumni Organization in Tokyo, Japan on September 22nd. The Japanese alumnus, who was also the professor in Japan Daito Bunka University Mrs. Takahiro Ritsuko was elected too be the first president. The range of the age ran through half a century. Including the 80 years old alumnus studied in the Japanese ruled period and the 22 years old alumni who just graduated from NTNU and were now studying the Ph. D program in Japan The University of Tokyo, University of Tsukuba, and Waseda University. NTNU honored artist Mrs. Weng Qian Yu attended the conference as the member of NTNU caught everybody’s eyes. 

There were the most alumni from Japan in NTNU, therefore, NTNU Principal Chang Kuo En actively promoted to establish the Japan Alumni Organization since last year. He indicated that there are reasons for establishing the organization. Mainly because there were a lot of alumni in Japan (Both Japanese who once studied in NTNU and Taiwanese studied in Japan. Almost thousands of students came to learn Mandarin in NTNU every year. Recent years, NTNU had a lot of interaction with Japan Waseda University, Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, University of Tsukuba, and The University of Tokyo. More Taiwanese students tended to maintain their education in Japan. The establishment of Japan Alumni Organization hoped to build up the solidarity of alumni and make efforts for the future of NTNU together.
