The Mandarin learning trend had spread all over the world. Singapore Centre for Chinese Language, Nanyang Technological University cooperated with NTNU “Forward to Outstanding University- Mandarin teaching field”. The signing memorandum ceremony was held on October 2nd at NTNU. Both schools would work on the development of Mandarin teaching studies in the future. The memorandum provided students to exchange as well.

The dean of Singapore Centre for Chinese Language Chen Chi Chuan led his team to call on NTNU in the morning. He had the great conversation with NTNU Principal Chang Kuo En. They talked about the current Mandarin learning environment in Taiwan and Singapore. Singapore Centre for Chinese Language had a very tight structure. Dean Chen indicated that they hoped to work on the related research and development with NTNU in the future. The signing memorandum ceremony was just the beginning of the cooperation. In 2013, the centre would promote the “Idioms in Comics and Animation”, free of charge for all the schools in Singapore.
Many students from NTNU Department of Applied Chinese Language and Literature did the internship in Singapore this summer. The team would stay in Taiwan for 3 days. NTNU had arranged the wonderful culture visit for our guests from Singapore to explore deeply in Taipei.
