NTNU Received Three National Council Science Outstanding Research Prizes

 National Council Science released the awarding list of 2012 outstanding research prize on the 1st of February. Three professors in NTNU received the prize. Among the three professors, Professor Chang Chun yen and Professor Chang Kuo En had received the prize for the third time. Professor Wu Chao Jung represented NTNU to firstly be approved in the earth science field. The number of award receiver this year was more than National Cheng Chi University, National Chung Hsing University, National Yang Ming University, and National Chung Shan University. 

Each award receiver could receive the prize for continuous three years and 300 thousand NT dollars per year. The honor was a great approval to the hardworking researcher. All three professors started working in NTNU since they returned to Taiwan after the Ph. D abroad. Starting from the assisted professor to the professor, and even to the director and principal. The award approved their research results in the past few years.
Professor Chang Chun Yen was the director of Center of Science Education. He received the prize in the category of science education. Professor Chang Kuo En received the prize in the information education category. Professor Wu Chao Jung from Department of Earth Science received the prize from the earth science category. It was the first time ever NTNU received the prize from this category.
