Lin Wins Bronze at Junior Shooting World Cup 2018

The Chinese Taipei team received success at the 2018 Junior Shooting World Cup.
Lin Ying Shin, a student of the Department of Athletic Performance won a bronze in the women's 10 meter air rifle. The game was held on June 22nd to 29th at Suhl, Germany. A total of 146 female athletes attended the matches and 8 of them were able to play in the final round. Lin ranked number 4 with the score of 628.1 and came into third in her final round. The scores of the qualifying round weren’t counted in the final round. The winners of the game will be announced after 24 shots.

Lin is a talented shooter who started to learn shooting in 2014 while in high school. It only took her a year to master the pivotal skills of rifle shooting. What's more, she constantly breaks the national record ever since she started to attend competitions in 11th grade. When she was in her last year of high school, she got 7th place in her debut of the world cup, which guaranteed her to study at NTNU.

According to the shooting association, Lin just received the first gold as female Taiwan athlete in the 10m air rifle category of the ISSF World Cup in Germany last month. It’s possible that she would take part in the Olympic games for four times and gets the first gold medal in shooting for Taiwan.
