SPE Students Showed Their Love Toward Orphans During Holiday Seasons

<p><font face="Arial">By Wendy Lin<br /> Campus Reporter</font></p> <p><font face="Arial">Special Education students showed their good hearts to help orphans by organizing a public charity sale on the campus from Dec. 3 to Dec. 7.</font></p> <p>&quot;<font face="Arial">We will donate all the money to Chung Yi Social Welfare Foundation (忠義育幼院),&quot; said Iris Li (李煜雲), a sophomore from the Department of Special Education (SPE).</font></p> <p><font face="Arial">The foundation is an orphanage in Jingmei district of the city.&nbsp; It is also one of the organizations where SPE students would offer their education-related volunteer services regularly.</font></p> <p><font face="Arial">A group of SPE students organized the charity sale at the main campus' &quot;Sunshine Boulevard&quot; (日光大道), where they displayed used clothes and homemade cookies.</font></p> <p><font face="Arial">&quot;What we would not need anymore may be useful that comes in handy for somebody else,&quot; Li said.&nbsp; &quot;We really hope that more and more people would come and join the activity to show their love and help those kids at the foundation.&quot;</font></p> <p><font face="Arial">Chris Fan (范延碩), a Chinese Department freshman who was selling his homemade cookies at the scene, said that he was encouraged by constant supporters who would visit their booths and buy his cookies</font></p> <p><font face="Arial">&quot;I am hoping that our good-hearted efforts can be echoed by more good-hearted people,&quot;he said.</font></p> <p><font face="Arial"></font>&nbsp;</p> <p><font face="Arial"></font>&nbsp;</p>
