Alumni Remember Their Days at NTNU

<p><font face="Arial">By Sabrina Lin<br /> Campus Reporter</font></p> <p><font face="Arial">More than 300 alumni returned to the campus for a large-scale reunion, held by the Alumni Association, at the gym tonight.</font></p> <p><font face="Arial">&quot;I miss our old manual bell.&nbsp; Unlike today&rsquo;s electronic bell, the manual bell relied on manpower to remind everybody what time it was,&rdquo; said Legislative Speaker Wang Jin-pyng (王金平), who graduated from the Department of Mathematics in 1965.</font></p> <p><font face="Arial">Wang said that National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) has changed a lot since his years.&nbsp; But he affirmed the changes and said that these changes also helped NTNU move forward.</font></p> <p><font face="Arial">The Alumni Association said that tonight&rsquo;s reunion was also the beginning of a series activities to celebrate NTNU&rsquo;s 62nd anniversary this year, while these activities will begin on June 5.</font></p> <p><font face="Arial">In addition to Wang, many senior alumni also said that they envied today&rsquo;s NTNU students because there are modern gym, new buildings and remarkable indoor swimming pool on the campus, of which, they could only dream of during their time.</font></p> <p><font face="Arial">In addition to buffet and shows during the reunion, a birthday cake was also presented because it was also Wang&rsquo;s birthday today.&nbsp; Along with him, all March birthday alumni shared the cake and celebrated their birthdays together.</font></p> <p><font face="Arial"><br /> </font>&nbsp;</p>
