Badminton Skilled-hand Zheng Shao-Jie Returned and Won
Badminton grand master Zheng Shao-Jie had returned! She had been low after the Beijing Olympic last year. However, when she competed in the National Intercollegiate Athletic Games (NIAG) as a representative of NTNU, Zheng swept her way through the game. On May 5th, she defeated Qiu Yi-Ru from National Taiwan Sport University (Taichung) and won the champion in women’s single in badminton. “I’m very honoured to be able to win this gold medal for NTNU,” said Zheng after the match excitedly. Zheng was dubbed as a genius by her coach, having created the best record Taiwan had ever had in Olympic games.
