2009 Outstanding Alumnus – Huang Yong-Chuan (Director-General of the National Museum of History)

Graduating from the Department of Fine Arts in 1966, Huang Yong-Chuan has been working in the National Museum of History for nearly 4 decades. It’s the “only job in his life”, he commented. Huang is simple and honest, dedicated and focused. Besides administrational works of the museum and programming exhibitions that re-energize cultural and historic relics, he continues to express his artistic side through creation. He wished to give special thanks to Wu Mei-Ling, a local artist of calligraphy drawing that led him into the world of art when he was in high school.
