The Most Splendid Total Eclipse of the Century
Known to be the most splendid total eclipse of the century occurred on July 22nd, and a partial eclipse can be seen throughout Taiwan. NTNU faculty and students all arrived NTNU early with a model plate or a disc to watch this rare and extraordinary view of the eclipse. The eclipse started around AM 8:23. From AM 9:33 to 9:40 was the greatest magnitude of eclipse, then from AM 11:00 to AM 11:05 there came the last contact of the eclipse. The whole process took about 2 hours and 40 minutes.
