NTNU Lion: The First Large Public Artwork on Campus
The first large public artwork in NTNU is presented in front of the eyes of all NTNU students and faculty at the beginning of this semester. Led by Lin Zheng-Ren, assistant professor of the Department of Fine Art also a sculptor who had studied in Italy, more then 20 fine art student spent 2 years and NT$ 3 million and build this NTNU Lion (a homonym of master) that represents the spirit of NTNU. Public art has already been popular outside of Taiwan for long, but the fashion only begun about 10 years ago.
