NTNU Enters Top 10 in Taiwan in 2009 World University Ranking
2009 World University Ranking for higher education by Times of London was published. NTNU was listed 105th in Asia and 10th in Taiwan, an overall ranking that is better than National Chung Hsing University and National Chengchi University. Especially in the realms of arts and humanity, NTNU showed a steady progress, moving up from the 434th place from the year before last to the 289th place this year. Of all the world university rankings, the reports done by Shanghai Jiaotong University and Times of London are most noted. The Times report emphasizes more on the reputation of the universities.
