Singaporean Minister of Education Visits NTNU
Led by the Minister of Education He Ping, a team of 9 administrative superintendents from Singapore’s Ministry of Education paid a visit to NTNU learn about the cultivation of future teachers, and to discuss how to strengthen bilateral cooperation. There’s a lack of professional teachers in subjects such as fine arts, music and physical education, remarked Minister He. With NTNU’s comprehensive cultivation program, Singapore looks forward to have more opportunities to interact and cooperate with NTNU. Meanwhile, Minister He pointed out, it is a challenge for Taiwanese teachers, who teach in Mandarin, to work in Singapore where English is the language used in schools.
