NTNU Is Ready For the National Intercollegiate Athletic Games
99-year National Intercollegiate Athletic Games would light up the fire on May 7th, started the 5-day game. This morning, the fire lighting team passes the fire to NTNU. Principal Chang Kuo-en greeted the fire personally, which symbolized that NTNU was ready. This year NIAG was held by National Taiwan Sport University. The fire started from April 30th, passed on to 170 universities, and then to NTNU. Principal Chang passed the fire to the athletes; the athletes ran around NTNU for one lap. The mascot this year was the unicorn beetle. The unicorn beetle only had one horn, which symbolized the unique, the only, and tenacious. Principal Chang encouraged the contestants maintained last year’s strength and breakthrough.
