College of Technology and Engineering Visited Tokyo Institute of Technology

For the cooperation and communication between the industry and academic institutes in Taiwan and Japan, President Wu Cheng Chih led a group of teacher and students from the College of Technology and Engineering to attend the Japan-Taiwan International Engineering Forum from February 27th to March 1st.

NTNU to host the 2021 Asia-Pacific International Conference on Technology Education

Asia-Pacific International Conference on Technology Education, ICTE, is the premier forum for the presentation of new trends, advances and research results in the fields of Education & Technology. It brings together leading educators, Software developers, scientists, researchers, school principals, Education Administrators, Student Councilors, PhD students & Master Students from around the world. The members comes from Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and the US. The charter of ICTE was signed in Taiwan in 1997 and the 11th conference was held in Korea in January 2019.

Master of Cooperate Identity Nakanishi Motoo Talks About Design Management

The Department of Design, the Design Alliance Asia, the National Association of Small and Medium-sized Enterprise, jointly hosted the "Master of CI in Japan- Nakanishi Motoo" on December 6th. Nakanishi Motoo, the guru of corporate identity and brand planning was invited to Taiwan to share his rich experience in corporate identity (CI). Motoo Nakanishi has a profound experience of more than 60 years in CI in Japan. Famous Japanese companies and classic brands such as MAZDA, ASICS, KENWOOD, NTT, DoCoMo, Kirin Beer, Bridgestone, INAX, Matsuya Ginza, NISSAN, ITOCHU Corporation. Japanese news, Japanese steel, and Japanese life insurance are all examples of his work.

The Conference of Higher Education Teaching and Learning Talks about Latest Trend

The Conference of Higher Education Teaching and Learning in the Globalization Wave and Annual Meeting for TOPD was held on November 30th at NTNU. The conference aims to raise future quality and innovation through sharing ways to engage higher education teaching and learning amidst the globalizing waves. We also invited scholars and specialists to exchange and share the experiences about the development of international higher education instruction. This will enhance dialogue and interaction and lead to fostering a higher quality ecosystem in higher education instruction. You are sincerely invited to attend and enrich both the breadth and depth of the conference, as we strive towards a new era for higher education teaching and learning. Provost Johannes Britz from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Senior Advisor International Anna Kindler from UBC shared the latest trend of higher international education.

Dept. of Electrical Engineering Grabbed the Champion of IEEE IROS in Humanoid Application Challenge

The IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems, IROS was held in Madrid, Spain from October 1st to 5th. In the Humanoid Application Challenge, known as the indicator of the development of the next generation of robots, Prof. Jacky Baltes, Prof. Chen-Chien James Hsu and Prof. Wang Wei Yen from the Department of Electrical Engineering lead a team and received the champion.
