Alumnae Chiang is the First Asian Lecturer in School of Visual Arts
“There’s always chance” said Chiang Meng Chih, NTNU alumni graduated in 2009. Chiang was born in Pingtung, Taiwan. It was due to the poverty of her family that she has self-studied art since she’s a child. In 2005, she graduated in the honor of the first place from art talented class of National Pingtung Senior High School where she received 3-years full scholarship. Meng was later accepted to a BFA in Visual Communication Design from National Taiwan Normal University, as the recipient of Merit Scholarship. She actively explored to a great diversity of design and developed a new perspective on creative expression.2016.1115
Pennsylvania State University came visit NTNU
Pennsylvania State University, which is a sister school to the National Taiwan Normal University, came to NTNU on November 7th and was led by Vice President Wu Cheng Chi and Chang Shao Hsi.2016.1028
Award Winning Conductor Chang Yu An at NTNU Sharing Music
Chang Yu An, the young conductor that won the 7th International Conducting Competition this September, came back to NTNU for a small concert with Music major students in Wen Huei Hall on October 17th. Except for sharing the music with public, Chang can share his experience with future musicians.2016.1027
Chair Prof. Liu Kuo Sung Becomes Member of American Academy
Liu, now 84, is universally honored as the earliest and most important advocate of modernist Chinese painting. As a chair professor in NTNU and an alumnus from the Department of Fine Arts, he is the first Taiwanese member in the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the first Chinese painter that receive this honor. On October 14th, he came back to Wen Huei Hall, NTNU for the celebration ceremony. President Chang commended him for the honor and NTM Director Mr. Chen Jimin came with greeting.2016.1013
