Lin Ying Shin Takes the First Gold of Air Rifle for Taiwan in World Cup

Lin Ying Shin, a student of the Department of Athletic Performance, attended the final round of the ISSF World Cup in Munich, Germany and grabbed gold in the women's 10 meter air rifle. She is the first female athlete that won a gold in the 10m air rifle category of the ISSF World Cup.

NTNU Grabbed 46 Gold, 40 Silver, 45 Bronze at 2018 National Intercollegiate Athletic Games

2018 National Intercollegiate Athletic Games, held at National Central University, came to a closure on May 2nd. Athletes from NTNU have taken back 46 Gold, 40 Silver and 45 Bronze, which meet the expected goal of 40 Gold and gained a better result, compared to last year of 41 Gold, 47 Silver and 34 Bronze. NTNU is ranked the third for the number of medals won. Seven athletes in three categories have broken the record, which is impressive and outstanding.

NTNU Team up with UCLA for International Academic Conference

The conference The Indigenous Knowledge, Taiwan: Comparative and Relational Perspectives held by NTNU and UCLA, took place in UCLA on May 11th to 12th. Outstanding scholars around the world gathered together for a prosperous talk about indigenous issues. The relationship between both universities has become stronger.

Taiwan Team Scores 4 Gold in 2018 APhO

The 19th Asian Physics Olympiad (APhO 2018) was held at Hanoi, Vietnam on May 12th. The Taiwan team, trained by professors of NTNU, grabbed 4 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze this year. Chung Shang Hsuan, one senior student, is praised as the Most Deserving Performer of Theory Round by the chairperson.

Dept. of Industrial Education went to Thailand training local teachers

To echo with the New Southbond Policy of the Ministry of Education, the Department of Industrial Education was invited by the government of Thailand to assist with training local teachers. Under the instruction of professors and graduate students of NTNU, 40 vocational teachers learned about app development and showed good results.
