Alumni Tan Chee Lay, Choong Kam Ko received Distinguished Taiwan Alumni Award`
In order to recognize foreigners who have studied in Taiwan, the Study in Taiwan (SIT) Talent Database Project Office of the Ministry of Education has set up the first "Distinguished Taiwan Alumni Award". Recently, the list of awardees with outstanding achievement and contribution in the fields of academic research, industry & commerce, politics, humanities & communications and other which deserves to be recognized was revealed. Among 7 awardees, there are two alumni from NTNU. One is Choong Kam Kow in the field of Art and Tan Chee Lay in the academic field.2018.0830
Alumna Shu-mei Shih Receives Outstanding Alumni Award Becomes Chair Professor
Prof. Shu-Mei Shih, graduated from the Department of English in 1982, now a Professor in Department of Comparative Literature of UCLA, is elected as the 18th outstanding alumni and also chair professor at the Department of Taiwan Culture, Language and Literature. She went back to NTNU on August 14th to receive the award from President Wu Cheng Chih. Vice President Ying Yung Hsiang, professors from College of Liberal Arts, English Department and the Department of Taiwan Culture, Language and Literature all came for this awarding ceremony.2018.0817
