NTNU ranked 289th in 2017 QS Rankings

QS World University Rankings of global higher education for 2016/2017 were announced on June 8th. Among more than 40,000 universities worldwide, NTNU was ranked 289 and the ranking of NTNU has been improving for 5 consecutive years. This year, the ranking has risen to 289 from 310, which means that NTNU is one of top 300 universities in the world. The ranking has improved by almost 200 since 2013.

NTNU Enlisted in the World's Most International Universities 2017

The percentage of international students of a university is one of the important indicators in the ranking of universities in the world. Times Higher Education has compiled a list of top 200 universities in the world with the highest oversea student rate. The only school in Taiwan on the list is National Normal Taiwan University, ranked 152 with the rate of 23.4%. About 6,000 students from more than 80 countries study at MTC every year, there are also 1,500 oversea Chinese students on campus.

Yen Chun Chieh Helps Bringing Great Pianists to Taiwan

The first Music Fest Perugia in Taipei will made its debut in NTNU In 2017 on February 12th to 19th. 15 great musicians will come to this event and about 180 master classes will be held. There’s also an All Star Concert and a competition for young musicians. Associate Professor Yen Chun Chieh, the art director of the event, said that the 35 students selected in the program will join the competition for young musicians and the winner will participate in the music concert with Taipei Philharmonic Youth Orchestra in National Recital Hall.

NTU System visited the Philippines in January

From January 10th to 13th, the NTU System delegation went south to the Philippines and received a fruitful outcome. In addition to visiting University of Asia and the Pacific, Ateneo de Manila University and University of Santo Tomas to discuss the possibilities of cooperation, NTU System have also discussed with the Ministry of Science for future cooperation and established the relationship with well-known higher education institutions in the Philippines.

NTU System Goes to the Philippines for Collaboration

From January 10th to 13th, the NTU System delegation went South again to the Philippines, after their last endeavor to Malaysia and Indonesia for recruitment. NTU System held the "Taiwan-Philippines Academic Exchange Forum” with the officials and paid a visit to the Ministry of Science and with well-known higher education institutions.
