Office of Research and Development Hold Workshop for Department Evaluation Next Year
In order to arrange for the department evaluation next year, NTNU office of research and development held several workshops. The forth workshop’s topic was “ Take students’ results as the core”. Professor assistant Huang Shu-ling from Kaohsiung Medical University center for general education was invited to talk about it.
The speaker Huang Shu-ling had been working as a researcher at the higher education evaluation center. She shared her experience of being a researcher and tips for preparing the department evaluation.
She mentioned the importance of evaluation in her speech. School evaluation had over a hundred-year history in the U.S.A. When students were looking for school, they would see if the school had passed the evaluation or not. University in Taiwan used to recruited student, then teach, and student graduate. However, she pointed out we should target what we want student to get first.
Vice researcher from office of research and development Hsiao Sheng-fu mentioned that each college and department would set up evaluation committee in the end of August. Wish every department could pass the evaluation.
