Marking 50 Years of Taiwan-Korea Design Exchange

The NTNU Department of Design commemorated an important milestone in international design collaboration by hosting a forum entitled "The Power of Korean Design: Fifty Years of Exchange Between Korea and Taiwan" on March 29. This event not only marked the 50th anniversary of the design exchanges between Taiwan and Korea but also introduced the inaugural “Taiwan Design Research Award,” highlighting the deep and enduring connections between the design communities of both nations.

Dept. of EE Got 1 Gold 4 Silver 3 Bronze at 2018 FIRA RoboWorldCup

Prof. Jacky Baltes, Prof. Hsu Chen Chien and Prof. Wang Wei Yen of the Department of Electrical Engineering led the team to 2018 FIRA RoboWorldCup and received 8 medals including 1 gold, 4 silver, 3 bronze.

First Holding Business in Taiwan by Industry and University at NTNU

The first holding business in Taiwan, founded by the industry and the university, started in January 16th. The Chairman of the Board, Rock Hsu, comes from New Kimpo Group. The stakeholders come from all kinds of different fields, like electronic company, technology business, bookstore and Melamine company. This company will provide students with valuable resources and lead the startup of NTNU to the International stage with four major advantages. Teacher and students running a startup, cross-discipline advantage, cross-boundaries advantage and social responsibility.
