Superior General Lesson Teacher Chang Tzu-chao Promotes Environmental Education

 Graduate Institute of Environmental Education professor Chang Tzu-chao opened “Environmental Ethics and Sustainable Development” course and was awarded 99-year superior general lesson teacher. He encouraged students to learn to love our earth in the class. Some students even been affected by him and promoted environmental education back their hometown.

Professor Chang indicated that the course was mainly about the influence of environmental ethics to the environment. Built up a balance of all kinds, create the behavior of concerning sustainable development. He thought that proper guidance to stimulate student’s potential was the responsibility of the teacher and also where the sense of achievement from.

Ten years of teaching in general lessons, professor Chang realized that unlike the teaching in graduate institute, general lesson was to promote a concept to students. How to make students from different background be interested in the 2 hours course was a big challenge. He thought that teaching was not only about passing down knowledge, but also how to use it, experience it, and prove it.

Professor Chang gained a lot of feedback from his teaching. He expected to keep teaching this course, passed down the concept to students, and made oneself better.
