Department of Fine Arts Liu Li-hua Awarded Golden Comic Awards Rookie of the Year
NTNU Department of Fine Arts Ph. D. student Liu Li-hua created her first comic, “The Snow Season” with skiing as material, had the brilliant result in the Golden Comic Awards this year and awarded the rookie of the year. Even though the process was long and hard, she still insisted to fulfill her dream. She encouraged students to dream big and live with it.
Liu Li-hua had been skiing for over ten years. She loved exercise such as skiing and diving. “I often shed tears when seeing the unbelievable beautiful landscape while skiing. I love nature and respect nature. These exercises provided me to get closer to nature,” said Liu Li-hua with smile on her face. She studied commercial design in university. Joined the comic club because she loved reading comics. But she didn’t take it as the career. Once she participated in several comic creative software classes, the new comic drawing technology inspired her. With her teachers’ encouragement, “The Snow Season” began.
At the moment the award announced, Liu Li-hua felt grateful in her heart. She appreciated all the friends and teachers that guided her and encouraged her. “The Snow Season” also published in e-book. App Store would be available to download.
