Scholars Talked about International Circumstances Change and Taiwan Safety
International politic and economy was changing everyday. Taiwan and China’s relationship and interaction got more frequent. In order to confer how Taiwan was going to react, “100-year: Taiwan and the sea around safety academy seminar” was held in NTNU on September 22nd. More then 200 scholars gathered together to discuss deeply of the safeness around Taiwan.
NTNU principal Chang Kuo-en indicated that NTNU used to focus on cultivating teachers. As the Graduate Institute of Political Science and Department of East Asian Studies was established, he expected NTNU could pay more attention on the politic issue of Taiwan and China. He encouraged teachers to combine international issue in the teaching, to let the students understand more about the international circumstances.
NTNU national alumni association president, Legislative Yuan speaker Wang Jin-ping mentioned that while considering our own benefit, we should also consider others rights. The seminar mainly discussed about the issue of Taiwan and the sea around safety. Besides the triangle relationship between Taiwan, China, and United States, and also the controversial Diaoyutai island issue. Scholars all discussed enthusiastically.
